Have you ever heard truth about pregnancy at very old age? Well, that’s exactly the case with a woman who has stirred quite the controversy lately in Brazil.

A Brazilian woman had become pregnant with a donor egg at the age of 61 years. She became pregnant to her much-younger husband. She became pregnant with a donor egg and asked not to be publicly named. She is due in November.

Her pregnancy has created lots of controversy not only in Brazil but all over the world.

A woman interview in newspaper O Globo said that she had already gone through menopause and her husband and she want a baby, so she is pregnant with donor egg. Her medical report shows that she is in good health, she told.

The woman, who reports say, has been unnamed because of her request and she says she wouldn’t reveal to the child that she was from a donated egg. She is carrying a baby girl.

Country’s health officials say that such type of practice is danger for both child and mother too. They fear that the mothers may be risking their lives more than the child because of their age.

It is not Brazil's first late-in-life pregnancy. As recently as September 9, a 52-year-old woman whose husband is 88 became a first-time mother of twins.
