The reigning champions of France Lille went very close to defeat on the lawn of Bordeaux (1-1) Tuesday in a match advanced seventh day of Ligue 1.

If the Girondins had not missed a penalty in the 81st minute, the Great Danes have recorded their second defeat of the season after that granted at home against Montpellier.

Instead, Lille signed a new zero result, his second consecutive championship. With this performance-cons, Lille are treading water at the fourth

in the standings with 12 points while the Girondins temporarily move from the 13th to 11th.

Wednesday, the leader of the Ligue 1, Lyon, Lille will try to distance on the lawn of Caen, while the runner Montpellier, will travel to Ajaccio. Paris Saint-Germain

Nice and Marseille will, red lantern, will host Evian.

"It's always a good point, what is more in Bordeaux (...) We knew this team would be aggressive but it makes sense in their situation, they showed a lot of desire," said at the end the meeting Lille coach Rudi Garcia.

Beyond the satisfaction sham, the former coach at Le Mans and in Dijon has noted that his team played short of its qualities. "We were not in the usual standard in the first period. We forgot to ask the game, we were not fluid, we lost all the duels."

Less severe with his players, who have yet missed a match point at the very end of meeting, the technician Bordeaux Francis Gillot appreciated the attitude of his group, beset by doubt from the beginning of the season.

"I think the score is logical. After it is true that this possibility with a penalty to lead 2-1 with ten minutes remaining, but it is a good point anyway. We still disturbed that Lille team in the first half playing up, retrieving balls, countering smartly, "he said.

"The players do not give (...) I think that was well at the block level. We understood some things, we talk a little more, we advance slowly, but forward," he added.

EVENING FOR CONTRAST DIABATÉ

The reigning champions France have made a miserable start to the game by cashing a goal in the eighth minute on a penalty converted by Cheick Diabaté.

Malian striker got justice after being mowed down in the penalty area by Florent Balmont Lille, immediately punished by the referee of the match, Tony

Chapron.

Unable to develop their game, the Yankees could have cashed two more goals in the first half on two strikes Trémoulinas Benedict (22nd) and Nicolas Maurice-Belay (32nd), who were not framed.

And strength to waste, the Bordelais, so fragile in many months, have relented in the second period on a very action-inspired two elves Lille, Joe Cole and Eden Hazard.

After a one-two managed between English and Belgian left, Eden Hazard has placed an unstoppable hit cross, at ground level, to score his fourth goal of the season.

Late in the game, the summer signing of the LOSC, Ireneusz Jelen, could offer the victory to his people but missed his lob in a face-to-face with the goalkeeper Bordeaux, Kevin

Olimp (71).

Barely ten minutes later Rudi Garcia's men have failed more than regret the action of the Poles after a lack of Mickaël Landreau, guilty of a dangerous release of Fahid Ben Khalfallah, giving rise to a new penalty

Bordeaux.

Cheick Diabaté, determined to get to match point, missed the bus by sending the ball on the left post of goalkeeper Lille.
