Most, if not all of you who are active on Allvoices this month received a very warm and comprehensive email from the new Community Manager, Dean Schaffer. Teamwork and Passion leapt from his words as he introduced himself and some of the positive changes underway within Allvoices. Here is a brief borrow from that email: "Just a few months ago, I got my master's degree in journalism from Stanford and decided to move up to San Francisco -- the best city I've lived in so far, hands down. (No offense to those of you from Los Angeles, but I grew up there and am so glad not to have to drive everywhere!)" Be sure to check your email notifications if you are an Allvoices Contributor and did not get this email!
One of the changes relates to the Incentive Program is the introduction of an Engagement Score. It is described this way via the links shared by Mr. Schaffer:
"Engagement score makes up 10% of the total of Your Score and is based upon how much engagement your content creates on the Allvoices site."
"A good report with a unique point of view will create a lot of discussion and buzz on Allvoices. Initially, Engagement Score will be based on the quality of comments and the number of likes and retweets. We will also look at the clout of community members who promote your content."
How is your engagement score for the month and what steps can you and I take to improve it?
What other changes to the Incentive Program should we take in to our best ability to succeed here within Allvoices?
One site that you can use for your blog or website to track engagement is Post Rank Analytics. I may have written a report on their service prior to this contribution and will link it below or find a separate news story for their company to add to this report. In lieu of the above, here is a link to the Manilatop10 Blog which has a #66 ranking under the sports subtopic via Post Rank and #46 in the Google category there.
To Your Success!
