The United States has blacklisted two more countries, Belize and El Salvador, in its fight against drugs.
Media reported that Presidenthas added Belize and El Salvador to the blacklist of countries which are widely know as major producers or transit routes for illegal drugs.
With inclusion of two countries, the number of blacklisted countries has risen to 22.
US officials said cartels have been using Belize and El Salvador as routes for smuggling drugs mainly cocaine from South America north to Mexico and the US.
It is believed that about two-thirds of the cocaine enter the US through Central America, where some other countries such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama - are already on the blacklist.
