Israel was forced to evacuate its Embassy in Amman, Jordan, as a precautionary measure to guard against any unfortunate eventuality ahead on "million man march" called by the protesters.
Israel had a bitter experience last Friday when in Cairo a huge crowd of angry protesters attacked their embassy and set it on fire. The diplomatic staff had to be evacuated from the burning embassy by the Egyptian commandos and were flow out of the country on a military plane. The diplomats have yet not returned to the Cairo Embassy.
Earlier on protesters shouted anti-US and Israeli slogans outside the US embassy in Amman on Wednesday
Activists have staged regular sit-ins in recent weeks outside the Israeli embassy. The are angry with the news leaked by Wikileaks that US was preparing a covert operation to convert Jordan into a Palestinian state.
The Jordan Army and police had beefed up the security and luckily no untoward accident happened.
