(Fukushima, Japan) Strong earthquake jolts northeast Japan, 6.4 July 30, 2011



A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck northeastern coast of Japan today and caused buildings in Tokyo were shakingslightly.

Japan Meteorological Agency said the quake occurred at about5 pm local time today, with its epicenter off the coast of Ibaraki,Tokyo about 140km to the east and at a depth of 10km.

No notice of damage or casualties.
