Neon reigns supreme for Nanette Lepore Spring 2012!

Fearless fashionistas, designer Nanette Lepore’s designs for her Spring 2012 collection were a flight of neon fantasy for the lucky attendees to her fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Stage at Lincoln Center on September 14, 2011 in New York City.

Nanette Lepore’s models may have donned some of her best and brightest to captivate the audience but then the designer herself came out with her daughter Violet and both were wearing some wonderful pieces from the Spring 2012 collection just to prove how wearable her neon vision for next year is!

Next year will see everything in complementary and contrasting neon combinations rendered in lace, smudges, stripes and color blocking – something for all tastes from a sporty romper to pretty summery dresses as well as romantic evening dresses.

Perhaps most successfully, the neons were part of a design that incorporated navy blue, or in combinations of pink, blue and lavender. The orange and blue pairings were also in extremely good taste, so don’t let the thought of neon daunt you from giving this collection its due.

Also attending and photographed were President and Editor-In-Chief of the AOL Huffington Post Media Group, Arianna Huffington, who wore a grey pant suit with a floral top and TV personality Angela Simmons who wore a navy pantsuit with a tan leather jacket,

Actresses Aida Turturro, Kelly Rutherford, Carol Kane and actor Stanley Tucci also attended the fashion show.
