Status as an independent and sovereign state, as well as gaining unauthorized membership of the United Nations is the greatest dream ofat this time. Now, they try to embody all that with the help of their allies.
"Our country has a dream to be accepted as all 194 UN member, after the Southern Sudan," said Palestinian Ambassador Fariz Mehdawi in the event Discussion 'State of Palestine and the United Nations' in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
According Mehdawi, the legitimate status of the UN membership is very important for the Palestinians so that they could have the whole concept as a country, which has been unachievable.
