Without any doubt Intel is the worlds chip maker in the computer and server market. But surprisingly they have been not very successful when it comes to smaller, more power-efficient chips. At the same time the trend is changing and the consumers are increasingly turning to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers.

This change in the consumers trend and choices has pushed the demand for mobile phones and tablet computers to manifold. Google on their part has been trying to market their Android operating system igrously. They have been very successful in their efforts because today Android has become the worlds leading smartphone operating system.

Intel in order to boost their smaller and more power efficient chips have signed a deal with google. The deal basically is aimed at developing the processors for future smartphones and tablet computers. These processors will be specifically developed to run on Google Android operating systems.
