My 2011 Champions League Group F Predictions

1. Arsenal. Arsenal righted the ship just enough to ensure that they will win this group. The club must make sure that midfielder Theo Walcott stays injury-free throughout the group stage because he is the game-changer on the team with his speed.

2. Olympique Marseille. One of these years, Marseille will stop choking and make it to the Round of 16. Steve Mandanda is the best goalkeeper in the group by a mile, while Loic Remy and the Ayew brothers up front are a problem for opposing teams.

3. Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund surprised everyone last season by winning the Bundesliga by a wide margin. However, their bid to make some noise in the Champions League should be muffled due to a porous defense. Nevertheless, Borussia Dortmund could pull some upsets within this group because the club plays with a very aggressive style and because the team has world-class strikers with Robert Lewandowski, Shinji Kagawa, and Mohammed Zidane.

4. Olympiakos. Their defense is always good, but this team has trouble scoring. Being in a group with three other clubs that like to score goals in bunches means that the Greek club will not be able to keep up. The scenario for Olympiakos in this group stage could mirror the economic woes of Greece.
