A judge in Nice, France, agreed with the argument of a woman when she filed divorce against her husband, citing lack of bedroom activity as reason.
He granted the split and placed the husband solely at fault.
But the 47-year-old wife was not contented and filed another suit, asking compensation for not having sex over 21 years of marriage.
Her 51-year-old husband argued it was because of ‘tiredness and health problems.’
But A judge in the south of France's highest court again sided with the woman in this case and granted the ex-wife an award of nearly $14,000 because her needs were not apparently met.
The judge ruled that "a sexual relationship between husband and wife is the expression of affection they have for each other, and in this case it was absent. By getting married, couples agree to sharing their life and this clearly implies they will have sex with each other."
