Dr. Rowan Williams archbishop of Canterbury are set to meet in Harare during the archbishop's tour of Southern Africa.
The archbishop requested the meeting, and hopes it will provide some solace to anglican christians who are being pilloried in Zimbabwe.
In recent months reports have notified; priests arrested and beaten by police, staff evicted from church properties, property seized and some anglicans murdered.
A very contentious matter; for a head of a church, unable to unite factions within his faith; in supposing he can persuade a contemptuous individual like Mugabe to change the situation he has perpetrated.
The fact that Mugabe supposed to be a Roman Catholic ( he got to attend, despite European ban, the beatification of the late pope John Paul in Rome) can be identified as a practicing christian, who would pay any lip-service to what OLD SCRUFFY says beggars belief.
Scruff would be better employed, reforming knife gangs and looters in his diocese of Lambeth.
Here endeth my opinion.
