You may or may not know me.

I'm Michael Tummillo, Founder of The Church @ Work, a ministry to those in the workplace. I've had an online ministry presence some 13 years - devotionals, Pastoral counseling, encouraging and discipling hundreds of thousands - perhaps millions - worldwide via the Internet. Jesus referred to the Kingdom of God being like a "net that caught all kinds of fish" (Matt 13:47). He instructed His Disciples where to fish and their net was not torn (John 21:11). Because He is "no respecter of persons" (Acts 10:34), how could I have expected anything less for the task He had given to me?

A "net" that wouldn't break, no matter how many "fish" I had caught? Hmmmm. As a techno-challenged, one-finger typist, I had no idea my ministry would include the INTER-net.

Imagine that!

Over the past two years, though I now have about 7,000 Facebook "Friends" within my various "Groups," truth is, in most cases, these Friends and I don't REALLY know one another.

Frankly, I'd like to establish some communication with about A DOZEN Friends at a time, beginning with the FIRST TWELVE who respond to this message.

As I've already alluded, the gist of this communication has to do with YOUR FINANCES. Are you earning enough to do all the things you're feeling led to do? It's a common frustration and I hear it all the time as I minister to people in the workplace or wherever my steps have been ordered.

I make no apologies for discussing this topic; Jesus spoke much about money - its blessings and its curses - more than the topics of Heaven and Hell combined but not as often as He did the Kigdom of God.

Along those lines, here are a few finance-related verses that used to REALLY trouble me:

VERSE: Proverbs 13:22, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."

COMMENT: How's that inheritance thing coming along? Leaving anything for the grandkids? In my life, the answer was 'no.'

VERSE: Deuteronomy 8:18, " shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant..."

COMMENT: His purpose for helping us to prosper SO THAT His covenant can be established. NOT merely so we can buy a bunch o' stuff! Though it's OK to have stuff, too often, stuff has US!

VERSE: Proverbs 6:6-8, "Go to the ant, sluggard; consider her ways and be wise; who having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provides her food in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest."

COMMENT: So, was I prepared? Are you? Whether it's economic collapse, civil unrest, food shortages, natural disasters, truth is MOST people are foolishly relying on the government, family, friends, and churches. Like Joseph, you CAN be ready for the "Great Shaking" when it comes (Matt 24:29; Mk 13:25; Lk 21:26).

As many have already attested, that shaking appears to have already begun.

In my 50+ years, I have been so poor I had to chase cats out of an old mobile home before moving in.

I know what it's like to rely on God's "ravens" for my very next meal.

I know what it's like to have to use pay phones for two years and to be limited to finding work within walking distance because I had no transportation.

I know what it's like to go from a painful, incurable disease - as well as a broken heart - to being miraculously healed and strong, including finding my wife, the love of my life.

During those lean years, the day came when I felt led to write an old-fashioned letter (I had no computer) to the CEO's of WalMart, Chick-Fil-A and Interstate Batteries, all Christian business owners I had recently read about in an article. Imagine my shock as, very soon afterward, I received either a phone call, a letter, even an autographed book with an encouraging note attached, from all three men. In addition, I once impulsively "popped-in" uninvited to visit another wealthy Christian philanthropist I had heard of who wound up spending 2 hours with me.

My question for all of these men was simply, "What's it like to be a wealthy Christian?"

Why did the Father urge me so strongly to contact these men?

What was driving me to boldly inquire of them about such a potentially delicate subject?

Was this part of my Discipleship - part of my Equipping?

I have been abased and abounded. I have gone from pit to palace. I have come to know God as the perfect Father, Provider and Protector, among His many other attributes. In recent years, I've been led to establish a few Income Streams, most of which are very duplicatable, that I would gladly share with anyone who might be interested.

Is this YOUR time?

I may have something for you. Again I ask, "Are you earning enough money? Would you be interested in earning MORE?"

If you're interested, please write and type "CASH" in Your SUBJECT Bar. Provide your Name, eMail address and/or phone number.

Every blessing,

Michael Tummillo
