The former Manchester United player Roy Keane is on the front line to take over the selection of Iceland.

Keane is now in negotiations with the Federation of Icelandic football and will watch the game on Tuesday, compared to Cyprus, qualification for Euro 2012.

The local leaders of the Federation seeking a replacement for Olafur Johannesson, who will leave office within a month.
