Mexican authorities reported finding an underground tunnel between the U.S. and Mexico, apparently used for illegal crossing of people.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the entrance to the underground conduit is located in Nogales in the Mexican state of Sonora and reaches a sewer in the U.S.
The finding was the result of research carried out after the discovery of the first tunnel on 16 August in the same municipality.
The federal police said it would continue investigations.
