College Football Game Day is here! Fans will be hopping from one football TV game schedule to another looking for excitement. TCU vs Baylor Game is one of the exciting opener that will not fail football fans greedy glands this weekend.
TCU Horned Frogs returns to Floyd Casey Stadium to face Baylor in the 2011 College Football season opener Friday at 8:00 pm ET. Horned Frogs has the winningest season last year finishing 13-0 plus winning the Rose Bowl trophy as highlights, and TCU's well-schooled and well-schemed defense was given credit for that.
TCU roster includes with just five offensive starters, one back and one receiver from last season although still in the guidance of winning coach Gary Patterson. The Frogs have won their last eight season openers. It's the second-longest streak in TCU history for season-opening victories.
Although Baylor Bears were not so lucky against TCU last year, but coach Art Briles promised something this year,
"Last year we got fooled a little bit going into the game..... I think (this year) the tables are different, the players are different and the faces are different both on the field and in the stands." Briles added, "We had done a good job protecting Robert Griffin III (quarterback) the first two ballgames, schematically and physically, as was planned. So, that was really our first chance to get on the field against a really good football team on the road in an atmosphere where we weren't like very well."
Baylor went on to finish 7-5 last season but it's far better than the Bears' typical 4-8 record.
The good thing is Baylor will parade nine returning offensive starters from last year's Texas Bowl team lead by Linebacker Brody Trahan and Elliot Coffey, Running Back Terrance Ganaway and Junior Quarterback Robert Griffin III.
With football players come and go this game is fascinating if TCU can sustain the momentum as No. 2 team in the nation last season and Baylor will ba able to upped thier game to the next level.
