GOOD Transparency: Education in America

In a developed country where formal education from elementary to high school is mandatory home schooling n a sense could be considered a crime. Public education is now strongly competing with private tuition in the form of home schooling. Some states require that all home school facilities adhere to public education curricula or provide one which is consistent with public policy.

Many home schooling experts argue that with the present financial situation in America; the wave of numerous cuts on spending among school boards, it may well worth the while that more home schooling be encouraged in the society. The big question is what is the purpose of public education in America?

Moreso, what is the purpose of public education internationally? How many children have gone through an educational system, which just either was inadequate for their specific needs or too elaborate for it. Then they become school drops out .Many of them have been discarded as having special education needs or dyslectics. Some are even diagnosed with autism.

This is the educational system of many countries developing and developed alike. As such, in America many parents are opting to teach their children at home with their own curriculum and agenda. How will this impinge on public policy we will have to wait and see.
