DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces apprehended a would-be-suicide bomber and his accomplice in a raid in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday.

Large number of arms and ammunition were also recovered from suspects’ possession.

Station Commander Brigadier Mansoor Aziz said that weapons included 200 mortar shells, 100 rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns.

Speaking to media persons at Qila Iqbargarh today, he said army launched a 14-hour long operation in difficult terrain. The weapons, he said, were to be used for terror attacks during Eid.

Brigadier Mansoor said that arrested suicide bomber was aged between 18 to 20.

Islamabad police also claimed to have arrested two suspected terrorists from the federal capital.

They had been allegedly involved in PIMS hospital terrorists attack.

According to a police spokesman, both alleged terrorists are brothers of a staff of Finance Ministry.

In another important development, mastermind of Risalpur Chowk bombing has also been arrested. The arrested terrorist is a worker of Civil Defense.
