Yash Gera not returning to Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani

When Gautam Gulati quit the role of Shaurya Khanna in Balaji Telefilm’s Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani, there were many articles informing his exit from show. However, there was no mention regarding Yash Gera who played the role of Shankar Menon with whom the character of Shaurya was in love with. Because of that many viewers of Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani nurtured hopes that the character of Shankar would return to Misha’s life. There had been several discussions on this topic and also some fans even created a dedicated page on Facebook demanding the return of Shankar.

In Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani, Yash Gera played the role of an NRI Guy for whom his parents had arranged an alliance with Misha Dobriyal (Priya Wal). However, Misha manages to get out of the proposal by creating a bad impression in front of Shankar’s Parents. But Shankar falls in love with Misha after seeing her photograph and decides to check out for himself. Without revealing his identity as Pintoo in front of Misha, Shankar joins Mount College as a Professor and befriends Misha. He falls in love with Misha and decides to win her love too. But fate interferes in the form of Shaurya Khanna, a Gay who falls in love with Shankar and whom Misha falls in love without knowing his truth complicating things. When Misha finds that Shaurya is Gay she accepts it and decides to be friends with him. But Misha gets furious when she finds out that Shankar is the Pintoo with whom her marriage was fixed with and ridicules him.

When contacted, Yash Gera confirmed that his role in Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani has ended and that he is not returning. He informed that he is presently busy with his other assignments as Model and DJ.
