Through serving God, the Lott’s of Hope Transitional Housing is an organization that helps homeless people and their children with their needs. In order to help homeless people who are drug addicts, mentally ill and/or alcoholics, the homeless person must first realize that he/she needs help as well as wants to be helped. The program, lasting between six months to one year, has a hands-on approach to helping homeless people deal with their problems so that they can get a job, become independent, self-sufficient, and better care of their family.
This organization is currently holding a back-to-school drive to serve the needs of the homeless children in their facility. They are asking for any donation, which includes money for housing and counseling as well as food, school supplies, clothes, products and toys.
Brenda J. Lott is the president of these co-ed housing facilities, which serve the Los Angeles County, Orange County and Ventura County areas.
