Prince Georg Friedrich Ferdinand of Prussia and Princess Sophie of Prussia were photographed kissing after their religious wedding ceremony in the Friedenskirche Potsdam on 27 August 2011 in Potsdam, Germany.
Prince Georg, who is the great grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II, has married Princess Sophie Johanna Maria of Isenburg in a church just outside Berlin, in Potsdam, which was the former seat of power for the monarchy which ruled Germany and was abolished in 1918. Both work as consultants in Berlin as private citizens as Germany’s aristocracy was stripped of their titles back in 1919.
Also attending the wedding were members of the German nobility including Duchess Elisabeth-Christina in Bayern, Philipp von Wuerttemberg and wife Duchess Marie-Carolin von Wuerttemberg, Hubertus Erbprinz von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha and wife Kelly Erbprinzessin von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha.
After their religious ceremony Georg and Sophie went to the Sanssouci Palace via horse-drawn carriage for dinner and a ball. The event was televised on German television.
Take a look at my slideshow which I’ve put together of the nuptials of Prince Georg Friedrich Ferdinand of Prussia and Princess Sophie of Prussia and thanks for visiting…
