Peru, Aug 26, 2011:
A suspected meteorite has been captured on camera zooming across the skies just above Latin America's Peruvian City of Cusco.
An amateur footage clearly shows a luminous ball of rock racing across the horizons close to Andes hilly ranges situated in southern part of Peru.
As the reported meteorite dropped from space local authorities were not in a position to determine, where exactly the rock may have landed after it was seen last week.
According to astronomy, meteorites are basically small fragments of rock and metal which fall upon planet earth from space. They do so after disentangling from a massive extra-terrestrial entity.
Its sizes varies anywhere from a fraction of a milli-metre to a football pitch size or even larger.
