Sulphur Louisiana middle school W W Lewis has a power outage Thursday

News source KPLC.com Alicia Pekema Classes at W W Lewis Middle School in Sulphur Louisiana have been discontinued Thursday.

Superintendent Wayne Savoy told KPLC news a massive power outage causes classes at W W Lewis to be terminated Thursday.

Crews have been working all night long and on Thursday morning the crews discovered the electrical problem is extensive causing the power outage and the school to be closed for the day.

The power outage may due to a problem with an underground cable.

Parents were told of the electrical problem at the school, and when school buses arrived Thursday morning, the school buses were re-routed to return the students back to their homes.

It is unkwown at this time if there will be classes at W W Lewis Middle School on Friday. KPLC television news will notify the public on their television broadcast later today.
