Danilo Pereira

If the reports coming from the Italian Media are to be believed then an interesting battle is on the cards between two leading English Football Clubs Arsenal and Liverpool for Danilo Pereira.

The Portugese 6ft 1inch Danilo Pereira, who is just 19 years old plays for Italian FC Parma and is basically a defensive midfielder. He came to limelight in the recently concluded U-20 World Cup where his exploits took Portugal to the runners up slot. Thanks to his excellent performances he was also nominated for the Golden Ball award. He is likened to the former French star Patrick Vieira for his strength and technique.

Liverpool wants to invest in him as a future asset, while Arsenal needs someone to immediately fill in the gap left wide open by the departutre of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

Arsene Wenger thinks that Danilo Pereira can be developed into a world renowned star in years to come by playing him in the Premier league with immediate effect.
