Proof that McCain is More Like Britney Than Obama [Cartoon]

McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said this:

"What we decided to do is find the top three international celebrities in the world, and I would say from our indications, Britney and Paris came in second and third. Will people think of this as negative advertising? Look, it is the most entertaining thing I have seen on TV in a while. It is not our campaign that is trying to make him into an international celebrity. It's his campaign... I don't know Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but they are international celebrities, so, you know, apples to apples."

In response, Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor returned this:

"On a day when major news organizations across the country are taking Senator McCain to task for a steady stream of false, negative attacks, his campaign has launched yet another. Or, as some might say, 'Oops! He did it again."

Good work, McCain.

This is hilarious, I agree with McCain, Obama is now the biggest global celebrity. He is the Paris Hilton of the Democratic Party.

Yeah for sure. The international media status of Obama is impressive. A modern political celebrity. How unique is not that? Respect man.

His campaign has throughout been focused on driving through the media channels and especially using the internet. It is a nice little savior package he has going there.

It is pretty impressive how the word of Obama has spread. Even here i Europe I have heard so much about this man who should save the world. I think many people tend to forget that talking about changes and making nice little speeches has very little to do with real change.

My concerns with Obama is that it is nothing, but a nice little package. It remains to be seen if there will be any substance there if he were to be elected. When shit hits the fan is when the true color of people come out. I get a feeling that his image is a bit too good to be true... I hope it is not, but I doubt it is. :-)

Ah! I think McCain needs these adds to stay in the race. But like Hillary in the Dems primary, he will be bulldozed over by the sleek and mighty Obama campaign.

For sure. Hillary should have stayed in the race. She is my hero!

This is called "speaking to your base". The message is that Obama is just another dissolute, immoral, tax & spend liberal out of touch with the Real America, and is heading like all overexposed celebrities, for disaster and disgrace.

Which is like calling McCain a war-mongering heartless old man out of touch with the 21st century, headed for world holocaust. It's tripe, but emotionally effective tripe.

The reactions to this ad of those who do not lean towards McCain already are irrelevant. It's not meant for you.

With McCain heading things, I believe we will have some deep trouble still as for the chaos we live in. Not as bad as with the disaster Bush but anyhow... My faith in American politics are not very high based on what mess they have created around the world.

The comment by Obama about Pakistan is understandable yet the wrong attitude. We should move towards solving the issues and helping people. Not threatening them further. I do not think McCain is so much better though.

When was the last time you found a honest person in the white house? Obama is not going to change the world, it will be great if he can do anything for the betterment of his own country and country-men. In politics, its always choosing the less corrupt, less immoral person. I wish we had one candid person in the White House.
