Jappanese Cultural Exchange at CTU The Japanese cultural exchange was held at the Learning Resources Center of CTU. Mr. Ikuo Mizuki, the Consul General of Japan to HCMC and his wife attended the event. Leaders and representatives of Can Tho City Friendship Association also participated.

The exchange aimed to introduce students the traditional food, and pictures about Japan’s people and culture. Can Tho University students are very interested in looking at the Kimono and Japanese traditional Hina dolls.

Associate Professor Le Viet Dung, Vice Rector for International Relations, gave the welcome speech. “This activity promotes the friendly relationship between Can Tho University and Japan”, Dung said. He also mentioned Can Tho Bridge as a symbol of the friendship between Viet Nam and Japan.

Mr. Ikuo Mizuki expressed his pleasure when he had a chance to meet the students of Can Tho University. He committed that the Consulate General Office will support Can Tho University in the future, especially in Japanese teaching and learning.

The Japanese cultural exchange is an annual activity. More than 300 students participated in the event this year.
