Ian Redmond, a British 30 years, died Tuesday due to atauqe a shark while he was diving in the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean waters,. Redmond spent his honeymoon there. His wife, Gemma Houghton, was at that moment at the beach on the island of Praslim. He was rescued and taken to a hospital but due to the severity of injuries, did not survive.
Not long ago, on 2 August, a French tourist was also killed by the attack of one of these animals while diving. In fact, Redmond's death came the same day the government of the island met to discuss the matter. Even less than two months ago the Duke of Cambridge, William and Catherine, spent their honeymoon in this paradise . These are the first deaths from shark attack taking place on the islands for 50 years.
