Update In Missing 11 Yr Old Celina Cass: Her Body Found In New Hampshire River, Autopsy Inconclusive
August 1, 2011, Stewartstown, NH]-------The massive search for the missing New Hampshire girl has sadly come to an end as the case turns from a rescue mission to a recovery.
According to CNN, The body of 11 old Celina Cass was found on Monday by divers in the Connecticut River about a quarter of a mile away from her home. Police have cordoned off the Cass home and though cause of death has not yet been revealed investigators are said to be treating her death "as suspicious."
Celina vanished from her Stewartstown, New Hampshire home last Monday. Her Parents allegedly said that they last saw her around 9:00 p.m. sitting at her computer and discovered her missing when they went to wake her on Tuesday morning.
A massive search involving the FBI and Vermont police was untaken to find the young girl and her diappearance was viewed as puzzling.
There is reportedly no sign of forced entry or a struggle at Celina's residence. Stewartstown is a small township of only 800 residents and one traffic light.
The FBI had offered a reward of $25,000 for any information that may have led to the rescue or recovery of Celina. A private citizen had also offered a $5,000 reward.
Neighbors reportedly said that Celina was a shy, happy girl, who spent most of her time with her mother and sister. Running away from home was highly unlikely, they added.
An autopsy will reportedly be performed on Tuesday.
