(Video) 10-Yr-Old Girl Severely Abused By Family, Died Locked In Tiny Trunk: Punished For Taking Popsicle

July 29, 2011, Phoenix, AZ]------In another horrific case of child abuse that authorities are calling the worse they've seen in Phoenix, Arizona, a 10-year-old girl died locked inside a tiny trunk in the family's backyard.

Ame Deal's family told police that she died playing hide and seek on July 12th but the story fell apart when a family member confessed to locking her in the trunk.

Cousins, 23-year-old John Allen and his wife, 23-year-old Samantha, after lying about little Ame's death, finally confessed on July 29th to locking the child in a tiny trunk because she allegedly took a popsicle from the freezer without asking.

Both were charged with first degree murder in Ame's death. Police have also arrested the 62-year-old grandmother Judith Deal and aunt, 44-year-old Cynthia Stoltzmann, for their part in the abuse.

Authorities say Ame was severely abused and was forced to eat hot sauce and dog faeces as punishment.

She was reportedly found stuffed in a little 3 feet long, 14 inches wide trunk, dirty, with bruises everywhere and weighed only 59 pounds.

Neighbors reportedly said they suspected abuse but no one called authorities.

The 10 other children who reportedly lived in the house were removed by child services.

No one knows where Ame's mother or father is as of date.
