Lockdown lifted for 2 schools in Conn. enforced just days after Sandy Hook massacre

UPDATES

As reported by ABC 7 News, the lockdown for schools in Ridgefield and Redding Conn., has been lifted as of 12:00 pm. ET. The suspicious person dressed all in black spotted near a school in Ridgefield has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

It appears like law enforcement is taking no chances in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary school mass shootings which shattered the peaceful suburban town only four days ago. Residents of Newton are still reeling and continue to mourn the massive loss of lives.

A private wake and funeral will he held on Monday for young Jack Pinto at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St. Newtown at 1:00 p.m.ET. Burial will be at the Newtown Village Cemetery, 22 Elm Drive.

In unbelievable breaking news, two other schools are reportedly now on lockdown in Connecticut on Monday, just days after the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary shooting massacre.

According to Reuters, all schools in Ridgefield and nearby Redding were in lockdown after police spotted a suspicious person who may or may not be armed.

Ridgefield is about 20 miles away from Sandy Hook Elementary where 20 children and 6 adults were brutally murdered on Friday morning by a barrage bullets sprayed by 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who committed suicide when police arrived at the gory scene.

Lanza also shot and killed his mother Nancy at the home they shared, reportedly shooting her four times in the head as she slept in her bed.

State medical examiner described the wounds of the young children and their educators killed, as the worst he has seen in his 30 year career, all of them shot from two up to eleven times.

A vigil was held on Sunday for the victims where President Obama said that the time has come for change, adding "We can't tolerate this anymore," he said. "These tragedies must end, and to end them, we must change. We will be told that the causes of such violence are complex, and it is true. No single law, no set of laws can eliminate evil from the world or prevent every senseless act of violence in our society. But that can't be an excuse for inaction. Surely we can do better than this."
