Attention: Ron Paul to appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Sept. 25, 2011

In mid-August, Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart drew a lot of media attention by bringing it his viewers’ attention that the presidential campaign of Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) wasn’t getting a fair amount of attention from the people in the media who pay attention to presidential politics.

What a difference one attention-getting segment on The Daily Show can make.

Paul will be the center of attention Monday when he joins host Jon Stewart in New York for his first appearance of the 2012 campaign season and his third overall on The Daily Show.

Paul made headlines on Sept. 21 when he told a Christian Science Monitor editorial board meeting in Washington that Jon Stewart had really “made our case” about the lack of media attention. Now, those of us who pay attention to such things are wondering what Stewart will ask Paul. We’re also wondering, of course, how Paul will handle all this newfound attention.
